[Plugin] Light Editor

Good Evening everyone! Today, I made a plugin, that can help you make lighting easier with sliding bars, and so much more.

This Plugin was developed by me, on 19, March, 22.

How to use it

-Update 0.3 ~ Select the lights, and just change the properties: Instant changes
-Colorbar bugfixes

It may be a bit hard to use the plugin first, but you can learn it, and it’s not too hard. First, this is a demo 0.1 version of the plugin, I have to make updates in the upcoming 5 days, I know it, and I’ll fix gui things.

When you open up the plugin, you’ll see a Point Light, a Spot Light and a Surface Light button. If you wanna edit a Point Light, click on the Point Light button. Same with the others. It’s important to use the right button, otherwise your light will not be customised  .

To edit properties, you must click the ‘Rubik’s cube’ button button in the middle down. You don’t have to think “Point Light or SpotLight” or etc, because it will automaticly go up. Open up the right light button (Point or Spot or Surface). then click on one property (In the Rubik’s cube menu). You’ll see that a new window just popped-up, there you go. You can edit them now.

You can change the properties for pointlight, you don’t have to save them.

How to save them?

Next to the Rubik’s cube button (on the right), there is a little brush icon, if you click that, the save will happen, but only, if you select a light. (Under save, we mean put the properties to the light) Select the Point Light in the part or workspace, then click it. Woaah - It saved.

What is the pencil on the right?

The pencil stands for colors. Whenever you make a color combo, you have to click it, so the background scripts will know the current color. After that, you just have to “save” the properties to the light.

Features

This plugin brought lots of features, that are:

  • Nice Looking Gui
  • Well Animated Gui
  • Smooth Gui
  • Modern Looking
  • Good Scripting Mehanics (for a player, it isn’t important, but hey, it’s still a feature)
  • Alternative way to edit lights
  • After learning, easy to use
  • Incloudes good ways to edit (sliding bars, big textlabels)
  • Colormaking with sliding bars

Feedbacks

Honestly, I don’t know if it’s good or not. I think after 1-3 updates, it will be better, but I already like it. Tell me, if I should create a widget version of it as a setting. I hope it will be usefull for someone.

HalaCo Notes

This plugin is getable with HPD.

Definitely will use this plugin in the future.

Why should we use this? It’s basically the same Edit “Things” like in the property window only with another (bigger) GUI.

Will tbis be released open-sourced anytime soon?

I think yeah. The custom RGB is a good thing, + the smoothly tweened buttons are also good for a tutorial resource.
