Point light shadow softness

I use a lot of dynamic lights in my builds, but the softness of the shadows they cast doesnt seem to be controllable. The “shadow softness” setting in lighting does not seem to have anything to do with the shadow softness of the dynamic lights.
I know that you can somehow get really sharp dynamic lights but they always appear randomly and i cant find a way to replicate it.

As you can see here the shadow softness is all pretty random and only some lights cast sharp shadows

What level are you using for “Editor Quality Level” ? Depending on the level, it could very much cause some behaviors like that to save performance. I would recommend trying Level 18+ to see if it fixes it.

If that isn’t the case then perhaps check the properties of lights around the area (casting shadows, brightness, etc)

I always use the highest settings (21 in studio and 10 when playing/testing)
And I’ve tried so many settings inside of the light it doesn’t change anything :c

Hmm, if everything didn’t work. Perhaps consider making a bug report about it, I suspect that this could be the case.

the light shadows are shadowmapped so objects farther away from the light cast softer shadows so either bring the light closer to the object or try using a surfacelight with a low light angle on a part with 0,0,0 size (surfacelights change shadowmap resolution depending on part size and light angle)
