So I’ve been doing pretty well without (oop) but people keep talking about how amazing it is. I read on it and I don’t see a need of it. It’s just more work. If anybody has ways that it can help please give examples.

I agree with you. Oop seems over complicated. Alot of the things you can do with oop can be done with simple functions
OOP might seem overcomplicated but it actually provides for more flexibility in your code. 
How can it provide more flexibility?
