Porsche 3.0 RSR modelling/texturing (almost done wooo)

. !
Started this a while ago before i joined dev forums but yeah im modelling/texturing this entirely from scratch. All that’s left for me to do is unwrap and texture the finer details and give it some finishing touches and then import it to roblox.

Oh my goodness! This is really well done. Like no joke, the best car model I’ve EVER seen. Everything from the basic shape, to all the details and everything. It’s so detailed, I don’t know how anyone could even do this. Just… the best! I have couple of questions though:

  • Is it going to meet the requirements of the triangle count?

  • How long did it take you? I know you said before joining the forum, but how exactly?

  • Are you planning to make more of these? (I really hope so!)

Are you sure this isn’t a real car you posted on here?
Looks amazing

tricount is sitting at around 110-120k which is what i was aiming for, took me like around 2 months though i’m incredibly lazy so i’d say the actual time where i was actually working on it is probably only a few days and yes i’ll make more of course ;))

110K? That’s just incredible. As you said, you’ll import this into Roblox. Will you upload it separately, as the limit is 10K?

Really like the fact (or plan) you’ll make more, can’t wait to see that!

Woooooaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I know someone who owns this car, and I see it almost every day. Because of this, i can tell you that this is so accurate, I dont even know what to say!

I guess one thing that could change is the windows. They are a little too transparent.

Very good job!

ah yeah i do have windows made and textured already, i just took them out temporarily as it makes it easier for me to texture the inside of the car.

yeah i’ll be uploading it into seperate parts, assuming it’ll end up around 20-30 parts because of moving parts having to be split aswell.

This is amazing! I’m glad to see that now vehicles are getting treated to the PBR SurfaceAppearance workflow. The black marks just above the exhaust tips and the rust on the brake discs are appreciated, it really adds to the “story-telling” of this model. Hope to see more from you!

I love this! How did you learn blender?

well i just followed a car modelling tutorial like anyone else a little over 2 years ago, just was really strict to myself when it came to making stuff and wouldn’t stop trying until the shading error or whatever is gone. one thing i’d recommend besides that is to just look at lots of work from other people on sites like arstation for example to see how they do certain things.

I think if you’d want this to work, you’d have to remove the wheels and import them seperately into roblox so they can spin, but hey, I’m not a modeler so I dunno anything. But yeah! Great job! :+1:

Edit: Nevermind I just saw

small update, still gotta add the needles for the gauges in case that looked odd and i’ll probably add some more tiny stuff to the dash by the time it’s done

alright since you wanted to see how it’d look in roblox i did a test import on the pbr lights which were the biggest risk in terms of whether or not they’d work with the render engine since the glass is made up out of 2 different layers and i gotta say i’m pleasantly surprised at how it came out
