[POSITION FILLED] Hiring a programmer for Hexaria ($2,000 USD/month)

Hello friends!

We the people of Bitsquid Games are looking to bring on another programmer to work on Hexaria.

What's Hexaria?
Hexaria is our flagship game (any of our other projects are a very sensitive subject) and is available on PC and mobile. It's a unique card-battle MMO that takes place in a completely original, semi-fantasy world.
What will I be doing?
You will be working on feature development, like quests, character customization, etc. There is a large codebase already in place that you will need to familiarize yourself with. It's currently written 100% by me, and I'll be here to guide you through it. There isn't a strict clock requirement, but the workload is expected to be around 20 hours per week.
What kind of ship do you guys run?
We don't really have a mission statement, but I usually say that we're all about getting super cool people to make a super cool game. Everything else is secondary. That being said, this is a job, and you will be expected to treat it that way. Deadlines will be assigned and are expected to be met, and communication is expected every day, with exceptions that we can talk about case-by-case.
Tell me about that sweet, sweet money [redacted].
Straight to the point. I like that about you. Starting salary is $2,000 USD per month, with half paid on the 15th and the other half at the very end of each month. Note: this is with the expectation of around 20 hours per week. If you have a higher availability and would like to work and earn more, I love it. We can talk about that one-on-one.
How old do I have to be?
At least 13 years old for sure, but hopefully a little older so that I know you're experienced and mature.
I'm in. Where do I sign?
Slow your roll, cowboy. You'll need to apply first via Discord DM (if you have me already) or DevForum DM. The goal of the application is to convince me that you're awesome and would be a good fit for the group. Please include a few hundred lines of code (doesn't really matter what it does), references if you have any (previous employers, partners, etc.), and the length of time that you've been developing on Roblox.
Additional info
I want people who are passionate about the project, so if you haven't played the game please do so before you apply to make sure you actually like it. There is no predetermined duration of work, so you will be working with us for the foreseeable future.

Feel free to reply with any questions or comments!

Unofficially work with the team on security shenanigans, can say they’re some pretty cool people to be around and work very efficiently.
Just a heads up for whoever wants to take up the job.

Sir, I’ve just contacted forbes, they’ve put you on the top 10 list for the best job description writers.

:smirk:

Anyways, I’m still a noob at lua. I do low poly modelling (meshes not unions), so if you ever need those, do contact me please.

Been waiting forever for the full game to come out, really felt like a leap of creativity at the time and a risk for being very different from the standard games, so I’m definitely applying.

I applied.
When do you think you will choose the programmer?

Hey everyone!

The position has been filled. Thanks to everyone that applied! Reading those applications made me remember just how awesome Roblox is, and if I had the resources I’d add every single one of you guys to the team.

Your applications were great, and I’ll definitely keep them around in case the team continues to grow!
