Precise Convex Decomposition has large issues with a specific imported mesh

The PreciseConvexDecomposition is failing bad on these few meshes I made today.
All of them have some parts which are hollow, which might cause this issue to happen.
But I definitely think, that some parts here shouldn’t be connected, especially as it kinda works with the default collision fidelity.

Another issue with the PreciseConvexDecomposition is this here:

(I made it when I tried to fix the inner collision issue, thinking that the outside collision could’ve been the cause, which wasn’t the case)
In this pictures you can see a hole, which is being generated into the structure of the mesh. If I would go into play test now, I would even fall through it.

Current System information:

  • CPU: 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1355U
  • GPU: Intel Iris Xe Graphics
  • Memory: 16GB

A place file is attached in the staff-only message which contains the meshes that have this issue.

Expected behavior

I expected the meshes to have an accessible interior, with a good collision model.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case here. Other models which I made at the same time, did work correctly, but haven’t had an hollow interior.

Thanks for the report! We’ll follow up when we have an update for you!

Bump!!! PreciseConvexDecomposition is pretty much useless in its current state, My expectation when enabling it is that the collisions are 1 to 1 with the visual geometry. Unless I missed the point of this feature, I can’t really understand why anyone would want to use it when it offers no real benefit
