When a floating Studio widget gets docked and goes back into the floating state by dragging it out of the docking area, it does not preserve the widget’s previous size when floating.
This makes using this functionality feel awkward, as it’s inconsistent with dragging behavior in other programs. Usually when something is in a float state, we don’t want it filling the entire screen, otherwise it would likely be docked as it’s an important / permanent widget. I prefer keeping my widgets I use uncommonly floating for a quick moment.
Here is how widgets typically work in Windows when it goes from a “docked” state to a freely moving window.
If Roblox was to adjust this functionality, this would make widgets feel more familiar and easy to work with, improving a common Studio workflow in the process.
