I’m trying to create curved roads using the plugin Archimedes 2, and I have come across an issue where the segments of the road get misaligned and overlapped when rendering once, despite using the same angle (5) for each set of rendering.
The length of each segment needs to correspond to the radius of the curve. Segments towards the outer edge of the curve will naturally be larger than ones closer to the center. This can be fixed with resize align, but I wouldn’t recommend making roads this way.
This is expected behavior when using the Archimedes plugin, as it offsets each part individually. You can group one road section together into a model and use that model to create a rough curve of your road, which removes that specific issue. You would still need to fill in the gaps between the individual sections with Stravant’s ResizeAlign Plugin to get the desired result.
Realistically speaking though, Archimedes might not be the best plugin to easily create roads. It’s great for creating small sections, but will quickly become time-consuming.
