I’m using Roblox Studio in its state-of-the-art Beta version and my native language. I want to report a problem that is happening to me:
Initial message in old documents: When opening documents created with previous versions of Roblox Studio, a message appears that says:
Your chat in the experience is using a modified version of the legacy chat system. This experience must support parental control settings by 30 January 2025 and migrate to TextChatService by 30 April 2025."
Problem when using old documents: After a few minutes of opening these files, the screen begins to show many options to select object stores and other functions. However, in these documents, the display does not load correctly:
McDonald’s house and other objects do not appear well.
The screen does not load the sections correctly and looks incomplete or damaged. Problems with new files: When creating a new file, the interface and objects are loaded correctly, but when trying to close Roblox Studio, the screen remains blank and does not close well
Hi, I’m not sure I fully understand the problem or the steps to reproduce. In your video it looks like there is a hang with Studio when its closed. But I don’t get what the second instance of Studio is supposed to represent, and I didn’t see an update process at all in the video.
Best things to do are to list out a set of instructions that will help us reproduce the error. If the error can’t be reproduced without a specific place, we need a copy of that place. Better is if you can reproduce the error on one of our standard templates.
Also, logs are good to have here to give us more info.
Lastly, when diagnosing hangs its always worth allowing at least 30s before shutting down the program to allow diagnostic errors to be written to our telemetry. (Also its good to validate if the program ever closes on its own, or if its stuck foreer.)
