Hi, so I’ve ran into the problem after making a union. This is not a smoothing angles problem. There is a union in whick I want to make the corner roundy, but mine union has blocky corner. The picture is below with what I do, and what I need. I have no idea how to do this. I didn’t find any topic related to that situation. I hope you will help me, thanks. : - )
You could use the plugin named Archimedes 2.
It helps make perfect corners.
I’d recommend learning Blender to help with issues such as this though since Unions are pretty messy when you start making curved surfaces.
You can take a cylinder and put it in the location where you want the corner to be (preferably on the same center as the inner curve you already have), then make it longer.
Place a square Part that’s the same size in the same location as the cylinder, then move it so that the corner is covering just one quarter of the cylinder.
Negate the Cylinder and Union it with the Part.
Now you have an internal 90 degree curved corner.
Negate the Union, and Union it with your original Union!
Sometimes you get a very flat sided result which is why I recommend Blender or some other 3d modelling program.
I recommend making the corner yourself to make it exactly how you like it.
You could use this plugin gap fill to make it: https://www.roblox.com/library/165687726/Stravant-GapFill-Extrude-Fixed
Or you can use ResizeAlign: https://www.roblox.com/library/165534573/Stravant-ResizeAlign-Fixed
Gapfill was used in this video by me.
Here’s a super simple solution with no plugins:
- Duplicate it.
- Move the duplicate as in picture two.
- Negate the duplicate and union it with the original brick.
This works because your brick already has a curve. Hope this helped
Instead of using roundify, I would recommend Archimedes Two, or just using blender. Archimedes Two is pretty good for doing corners in roblox, but if you want the perfectly smooth one, I suggest using blender.
