Ok so I know the animation can only be played in a game that is owned by the animation’s creator, but I imported all my animations from my game and then reuploaded them into my group.
This should be fine right??? It seems to have worked for some of the animations, but others give the “failed to load sanitized ID” message. Do I just need to wait for them to be uploaded properly? Most of these animations are being used by skinned meshes.
Yeah the developer of the game is listed as the group.
Also it may be worth noting it could take up to an hour for it to be fully uploaded.
Ah okay thanks, is that normally the case? I haven’t experienced that before - animations usually just upload straight away when I’ve made them before.
It’s usually the case for most stuff, but I would give it up to an hour then see if it is working. If not there is probably some kind of problem. You can also try reuploading the animation again.
Alright it’s been over an hour and still nothing. Can anyone who knows for certain and has maybe done this before please let me know if importing your animation then re-publishing it as being owned by a group works?
I just have no clue why it would work for some animations but not others. Not sure if I should keep waiting or just give up and continue with the game being under my user. I even created a whole new animation directly into the group rather than using an old one and it’s still not working.
Edit: Ok nevermind I was just being really stupid - all the animations that didn’t work were in Animate scripts in StarterCharacter (or the equivalent for skinned mesh NPCs) and I forgot I left the animation instances as descendants to the script and I forgot to replace the IDs in them as well.
