Problems with Character Loading and Joining Games

Characters are taking a long time to load in to the game, and when they do, they often look like a grey character or the default “noob” look.

Its taking players a long time to join games. They get stuck on a loading screen for a few minutes longer than normal. Some players are reporting that they only see the default sky when they join. I assume this is caused by their character taking a long time to load

For me personally, the bug was most noticable when using the loadCharacter function on the player. It took about 20-30 seconds to fully load the character. None of the UI was loading until the character was loaded

Yep, this has happened with me. Lots of noob/grey avatars and people randomly respawning in multiple games, I was glad to know this wasn’t some exploiter.

I think this may be related: Opening up “examine avatar” will give you a blank screen, and nothing can close it. You can’t interact with the player list, and resetting yourself doesn’t help. It just permanently stays on your screen.

The first time it’s pulled up, it become blank but you can press the “x” in the top left. The second time you open it up, though, you get stuck.
