Procedural volumetric fire with perlin noise

found out EditableImages can be used to create procedural + volumetric particles so i made this using Perlin Noise

pretty cool stuff, someone smarter and less lazy than me could likely make volumetric light beams with this technique as well

Dude that’s sick. I wonder if you could do stuff that reacts to the environment? But ive never touched editableimages before

I know it been almost a year, but could I know how this technique was achieved? I found myself having problem with making volumetric particle/volumetric rendering due to the technical methods I find myself can’t understand enough to grasp of and remake into roblox studio, currently am stuck at making the slices contains in a specific volume box and also making it able to project in any camera angle. I know it’s possible but not to this perfect visual through a video file that randomly appear a day after 2024.

in my case, i made this a long time ago but if i remember correctly i just used a billboardgui which is constantly ponting at the camera and just shrunk the fire texture depending on the camera angle to make it appear 3D. there’s no slicing or anything too crazy going on, although it could be possible.

good luck, lemme know if you do manage to figure it out
