Process for generating Original Ideas

Hi all, I’ve been yearning to produce a solid showcase for my profile, as I’ve never had the time to make a build that isn’t intended to be monetized in some way. The problem is, I just can’t seem to come up with any great original ideas!!

I’m trying everything I can, to draw in my notebook, studying some classic architecture, writing down adjetives of what I’m aiming for in my showcase, I just can’t seem to land on something that’s great, original, and fun to build.

I can definitely and easily copy from images and recreate 2d structures in 3d studio, but I don’t want to copy. I want my own ideas.

So, does anyone have a process for coming up with some great build ideas? I really want to show off what I am capable of in a restriction free environment. Thanks!

When I build, it’s to represent how I feel – not because I am actively trying to build something that is inherently creative. Sometimes I have built palaces to represent a sense of grandeur, or humble abodes to represent a sense of nostalgia… That’s what showcases are about, really – opinions, feelings, what we think at the time, superimposed onto the Roblox platform.

There is no “process” or a “way to generate” ideas. There is simply your mind. That’s how all artwork is from poetry to painting to Roblox showcases.
