If you’re like most Roblox developers, you grind straight through until you hit burnout. That’s a problem. Because working non-stop doesn’t make you more productive.
Alternate industries have explored a critical solution: The pomodoro Technique. This technique is used by professionals everywhere, with Research showing stats such as:
Flow Productivity brings the Pomodoro Technique directly into Roblox Studio—no alt-tabs, no extra apps, no cost. Break your work into 25-minute deep-focus sessions, followed by guilt-free breaks.
This plugin seems really useful and I will 100% be using this to finish hard games. Although, a darkmode theme would be nice as currently it does not fit in with the surrounding studio UI.
Thanks for your feedback! The main reason I wanted it to be light mode was because I thought it might stand out more on the user’s screens, making you more aware of your sessions and so that you wouldn’t forget about your timer.
I have created pomodoro timers personally and that was a huge thing I felt – I “forgot” about my session or didn’t keep track of it and just developed like normal. I tested this version for like a week and I started feeling the issue come back. But when I switched it to light mode I felt more “awake”
let me know what you think and I agree that I should probably make it an option by adding settings. I’m planning on adding a lot more features, but its important for everyone to get used to basic pomodoro right now (since 0% have used it)
I don’t think Roblox plugins have access to audio. I have been making plugins for a really long time and last time I checked (I tried making a music player like a few years ago) you cant.
You can play the audio via new Audio API
You can make AudioPlayer and wire it to AudioDeviceOutput.
The wonders of Audio API. (although it is more complicated too)
(corrected a bit, you wire audioplayer to audiodeviceoutput, not the other way around!)
I currently released a dark mode / light mode toggle. The default is based on your studio settings, so it automatically blends in whether you are a dark mode or light mode user!
Let me know what you think! Also remember to answer the survey if you think the tool is helpful and recommend it to more people!
I plan on adding a lot of great changes in the future like dynamic work sessions that adjust based on your work activity (like if you are more productive with deep sessions at certain times of day) if it does well!
Being honest, not really. Most of your posts sound pretty clickbaity to me. There’s should be zero reason to include “the HACK the ELITES are hiding!” on a devforum post about taking breaks.
Also this is literally just the same title as one of your other completely unrelated posts in development discussion:
I think the new title is more elegant. Also did you see the new dark mode as well as the future features (I added it to the post end)? I’m hoping you guys like it
The flow productivity title? It just updated to that on my screen, it’s better I guess.
Didn’t use the plugin yet.
Some of them look useful, not really much to say about it. I don’t think themes will generally be that needed or that an XP system is necessary, especially for rewarding (I can just fork the plugin.)
