Hey, I’m Marcos.
I’m a Game Designer, graduated from Senai Maracanã (Brazil), and part of a group called Blood Software.
Today, I just… need to get this off my chest. Don’t really know who to talk to, so here I am.
I had to cancel a game I loved.
It was a Transformers project—my dream. Had everything planned: a 200-page GDD, concepts, characters, mechanics… It was perfect on paper. But now? It’s just a story. If you wanna hear it, here it goes.
Back in 2024, me and some friends had this CRAZY idea:
“Let’s make a Hero Shooter mixed with the chaos of old-school Transformers games.”
The core concept? A “dead universe”—like an aftermath of a war nobody won. Maps would be destroyed versions of War for Cybertron classics, but with secrets, easter eggs, and hidden lore.
The first characters?
-
Decepticons:
Soundwave with CUSTOM CASSETTES (Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, Laserbeak…).
Brawl (G1) and Megatron (Fall of Cybertron style).
Blackjack (Stunticon). -
Autobots:
Optimus (classic), Cliffjumper (G1), and Jetfire (FOC).
MY FAVORITE: HEATROCK, a miner Autobot who WRECKS in vehicle mode. If he hit you? 350 damage (the highest in the game).
The problem was never the idea. It was, the people.
We had TWO AMAZING PROGRAMMERS, but then outta nowhere, the group decided to pivot to a Tycoon game. After this both quit from the group.
I didn’t fight it.
I tried making a Transformers Minecraft mod, but… it wasn’t the same.
And to top it off, Hasbro nuked a fangame (Transformers Crossfire) with a copyright strike. That broke me.
I’ve got dozens of other GDDs (even a Star Wars: Empire at War one), but Transformers was the one I loved most.
That’s it. Just wanted to put it out there.
If anyone read this far thanks.
