Introduction:

Project Development is a source of information being networked between multiple contributors A good company has a strong structural basis made up of: Quality Assurance, Community Relations, Marketing and Management.

Project Development covers all fo those things. Each part is a crucial part of an operation. Each has their own job and definition.

What each does:

QA (Quality Assurance:

  • Is the process of going through a product and making sure the standards are there. If not how they could be improved or altered.

Community Relations:

  • Allows the project development team to know how their products impacts the community. Representatives in your community relations team should be able to communicate and request advise to further your company.

Marketing:

  • Is a based off your community relations and quality assurance. Make sure to follow what you’ve learned to further improve your final product. Its always a good idea to constantly have a loop from QA>CR>Marketing so every time you come out with a new product you can see an impact and improve.

Management:

  • Is by far the largest and most important role seeing as these are the people who are in charge. Managers go for different roles such as marketing management, moderation management and more. If your managers cannot command and get things done their your whole company could collapse.

How to apply it to Roblox:

Project Development is a large topic consisting of many different aspects I would take the following steps to insure that everything is taken care of.

Steps,

  • Form a team for QA, CR, Marketing and Management. Assign each to a time schedule that allows time for each to finish their job and allow the next group to start working on time. It is important that your managers for each division can enforce these rules to prevent going behind schedule. If you do become behind schedule evaluate what has happened and see if it is your managers fault. Don’t be afraid to fire someone.

Example of a good schedule:

(Don’t be afraid to use Saturday and Sunday to fix any mistakes after the launch to the public. Sometimes you have to sacrifices your days off.)

Once done:

Once you’re done with your steps its important to pretty much follow up with things to do like updates, events and more. Your marketing should involve you promoting new features to influencers, social medias and other sources of possible players.

Marketing ads, good or bad?

For marketing most people would say run ads. Personally I don’t think ads should be your primary unless you’ve done the whole schedule with no issues. If you have feel free to use Robux for advertisements/sponsors to promote your game. As you run the ads make sure to promote your social media or group community. From the community you have hopefully gained from those promotions show off more features and keep their attention on you. Try and offer as many rewards for active members because they are your lifeline.

Involving friends:

Getting your friends involved usually is a good thing, just make sure you’re not nagging them so much. Try to give them at least 3 days notice before launching something new. This should allow them to check their schedule and see if they’re free. Remember they should be your back bone if you have gained a good reputation.
