ProjectComplete - Auto Completer!

Hello!

I have realised that alot of auto correction plugins (that I have came across, maybe I missed a few) do not have a certain feature and that is automatically getting a module automatically. It gets very boring at some point where each module you create needs to be configured BUT I have created something that y’all may like!

I am featuring a Plugin named “ProjectComplete”, very useful plugin for Programmers to create their code quickly!

Standard Roblox services:

Here is a little clip of requiring a Roblox service:

Showcase for getting Roblox services
Very standard stuff but you dont have to configure them yourself! All of the Services (at least most of them) are already implemented inside of the plugin! (if you feel like I am missing a service, please let me know)

If you just need the service (without a variable) then you can simply just type the service name and you got it!

Calling without variable

OH NO! YOU HAVE A NEW MODULE NAMED “hi” AND ITS NOT CONFIGURED!!! WHAT DO YOU DO???

Nothing! It automatically catches the new module and allows you to require it without issue!

Requiring module

You can also do the same thing as calling a service (!hi) but the way I did it is just in case you have created a Module with the same name as a Roblox Service but I prefer that way anyway so do whatever!

Any issues please say it here! I am happy to fix it immediately

Current List of commands:

  • !{Service} : Creates a variable with the same name as the Service you require.
  • {Service} : Gets the service but does not assign it to a variable.
  • !r.{moduleName} + !{moduleName}: Automatically requires the module into a variable.

NOTE: !r.{moduleName} and !{moduleName} are similar commands, but with !r can allow you to require a module that may have the same name as a Roblox Service! I would recommend you to use !r but you can do whatever you like!

Hi!

I am currently working on some new features that can be useful for completion, such as:

  • AutoAttributes - Automatically gets attributes for you instead of typing the entire name
  • AutoTag - Automatically gets tags from CollectionService
  • AutoModuleRun - Automatically creates a Server script located inside of ServerScriptService with its own settings to automatically run modules for you, more info will come soon

If you like the plugin, please give it a like and a rating! I can take any criticism if something is not right =)

Hey! This is a really awesome and useful tool

However, I noticed it can cause some heavy lag spikes in Studio if the project gets large. For example:

  1. pcall inside the loop:
local ok, isScript = pcall(function() return object:IsA("LuaSourceContainer") end)

Using :IsA() for Instances never throws an error, so it’s better to use it without creating a new thread with pcall, because on a project with 10k+ Instances this will cause massive lag spikes during a rescan

  1. Scanning game:GetDescendants() is too heavy:
You’re scanning the entire game, including Workspace. So it’s better to use already defined services or services that contain scripts

  2. Parsing Source every 10 seconds:
Scanning and gmatch-ing the source of every script every 10 seconds is heavy, especially if the project has hundreds of scripts. A suggestion is to maybe increase rescanAfter to 30-60 seconds

Overall this is a brilliant tool! Keep it up
