This has started after the latest studio update. The properties menu is breaking. After I deselect an object from the game, the properties menu’s options will get stick to the properties of that object. The header of the properties menu does update. Here’s an image:
For what it’s worth I don’t think this is specific to the latest version, because I’ve been using last week’s version and I’ve been getting this today too.
I am not having issues with the properties menu. OS?
I’ve experienced this several times over the past week. For me, it seems to only trigger after I use the Resize tool. To my knowledge, the only way to refresh the Properties window is to close Studio and reopen. Meaning my rate of progress is drastically slowed.
This seems to be fixed in the latest version, at least for me. Though if it’s still happening for other people, I looked into it a bit with the last version and found out:
- It seems to always happen if you undo something that causes a re-selection (e.g undoing changes to parts or models will re-select them)
- It only happens when the
StudioImproveSelectionUpdatePerformance
flag is enabled
It was solved for me as well. Interesting find.
Sorry about that. We made some changes to improve selection speed, and it caused some issues with the Properties widget. We’ve turned it off and are investigating the issue.
Hi, sorry to bump this thread but this issue is still happening to a friend of mine who is running MacOS. The properties window doesn’t update when selecting different objects. Is this a known issue or setting to fix this?
