Protected folder access blocked

This is the error I get from Microsoft Defender everytime I launch Roblox Studio after it updated itself. Microsoft Defender says that that it won’t allow RobloxStudioBeta.exe to make changes to the AutoSaves folder. To fix this I need to manually go to Microsoft Defender and allow changes. But why it this happening? Everytime I manually allow changes to the AutoSaves folder Microsoft Defender automatically blocks it again after a RobloxStudio update has been made. I need to fix this because this is getting ridiculous everytime I want to do some work, AutoSaves disables itself because Microsoft Defender blocked changes to be made to the “protected folder”. I have a whole list in my Microsoft Defender history where I allow changes and then after a 1 week or less or more it is blocked again and then repeating itself.

Can someone give me any hint on how to fix this? I will respond to any question that you ask if I gave insufficient information about the problem.

Try creating a new folder for Autosaves in the Roblox AppData folder, and see if it fixes the issue.

Steps:

  1. Press Win + R on your keyboard and type %appdata%.
  2. Make sure you are in the Local folder in the AppData folder. If you aren’t, navigate to the main AppData folder on Explorer’s address bar and go to the Local folder.
  3. Navigate to the Roblox folder.
  4. Create a new folder and call it Autosaves, or anything you want (just call it Autosaves for the sake or simplicity).
  5. Go to Studio, and click on File > Studio Settings > Auto Recovery. Change the location of the Autosave folder to the one you created in the AppData folder.

Optional: If you wish to navigate easily to the Autosave Folder you’ve created, feel free to right click on the folder and create a shortcut, and move the shortcut to your desired location on your device.

By Auto-Save you mean the Auto-recovery path in the studio tab in studio settings?

Yup, sorry about that typo! Will edit my reply now.

I will wait some time until Roblox Studio has an update to make and I will see if everything goes as planned. If that will be the case I will automatically count your message as a solution.
