The Proxy Settings under Studio’s network settings are broken. Clicking on the checkbox doesn’t do anything, and any text entered into the URL field is automatically cleared after exiting the input.
This is happening 100% of the time for everyone I’ve asked.
This was working at least a month ago.
Unfortunately this feature had to be temporarily disabled due to a harmful bug, we are working on a fix that will likely be shipped shortly after Thanksgiving.
If you set the wrong URL in the proxy settings, the following happens and the proxy settings are inaccessible. Is this the harmful bug?
Have any idea when the fix will be shipped?
Sorry for the lack of transparency. While we were investigating the issue we discovered a secondary issue related to security that would be triggered when the http proxy is enabled. We are working on possible solutions to keep security risk at a reasonable level when http proxying is enabled.
Do you have any updates on this?
Designing is still underway to find a suitable balance between security and usability, no ETA on a release yet.
