PSG Physics + FE = Bad as non psg

So I got PSG physics and FilteringEnabled.
I got this truck which has wheels on hinges. I’v seen alot of bugfree videos showing the majesty of psg physics. But really it’s not one bit better than previous physics.

This happens all the time. It’s impossible to drive this truck cause at any moment it’d go off flying into space.

Are there any tips on how to use hinges with psg that prevents this kind of behaivour or what am I suppose to do?
Aren’t these the type of bugs that psg claimed to have solved?

Hinges have not been updated to work with PGS AFAIK. You should use other joint types if you’re intent on using PGS.

Hi PlaceRebuilder - can you please upload a version of the Trunk model that demonstrates the problems you are having? We’ll take a look.

Thanks!

It may have nothing to do with PSG physics (have you tested this with legacy physics?)

It might be that the player driving the vehicle is not simulating the entire thing. Here is something to try:

In Studio, go to Diagnostics and check this box:

Start a test server with a couple of players. If the truck isn’t all the same color, then different people are simulating different parts of it. This will never work well. If you see this happening you can fix it by setting the network owner of the truck to be the dude driving it (http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=API:Class/BasePart/SetNetworkOwner).

Your screenshot made me suspicious because you have lots of guys standing around the truck.

I’v tried it now, I think this might have solved the issue.
The truck still flew up in the air and flung the last 5 survivors into the cold dead ocean but I think that might been because of an explosion :stuck_out_tongue:
