The public section of the forum has not gone private, but there has been a temporary change in how guests can view content. Previously guests to the forum were shown the public sections before logging in. This was never intended to be the case. Now users are required to log in before viewing content. The public section is still open to all 13+ users who visit the forum, but logging in is now a requirement.
