Public Domain: Does it affect Roblox

I know this is a question we should be thinking about in 70 years, not now, (Most of us will be dead when this happens)

but do Roblox games automatically uncopylock themselves once they are in the public domain?

In case you don’t know what public domain is, its basically that anyone can do whatever they want with a certain creation after 95 years of copyright, meaning that the copyright expires, its no longer valid.

You may have seen Mickey Mouse edits last year, thats because the original version of Mickey Mouse can be used by anyone. Yes, you can create a sequel to the original Mickey Mouse or modify the episode however you want.

Just an interesting thought that I had.

I don’t think the Roblox engineers think about this, so I’d assume no. You should technically be able to use the assets of the game I think.

I dont think since not many roblox games are actually copyrighted and i dont think that there is any script that will uncopylock any games that are 95+ years either. Maybe there will just be more copies of the game.
