Publishing a model to Roblox breaks the viewport

Publishing a model stops the viewport from rendering, requiring studio to be restarted to fix it.

Reproduction:

  1. Open an empty baseplate
  2. In the Explorer, right click on anything (e.g. the SpawnLocation), press Save to Roblox, and upload it as a model
  3. Close the publish window after it’s done. The viewport will no longer update when you try to move the camera. Opening and closing a script will leave the script editor on the screen.

I am using Windows 10 (reskinned to look like Vista)

I cannot reproduce. Is the issue still occurring?

I just tried it now and it’s still happening for me. The new explorer also stops working in addition to the viewport (the UI isn’t updating), but the properties widget is still functioning.

Here’s a list of my specs if it’s any help:

If I may add to this, I do not really upload models but I notice this issue happen very often at random while I am switching in-between script tabs or between a script and workspace. It also sometimes happens after I click “Stop” to exit the in-studio test of the game I have open and there is a script selected.

When this occurs, I cannot exit studio normally and have to force close it in task manager before I can launch again. I know this is not an issue with my device specifically because it began occurring for me when I opted into next gen Studio UI beta (Next Gen Studio UI Preview is here! [Beta]).

Next time it happens I will try to record some documentation to provide to this thread as well. I do want to say based off what I’ve experienced and the video linked by OP though that this issue seems to occur only when another tab, such as a script in this case, is open in the studio session and appears to be pretty random as to when it wants to act up.
