Question about Roblox and Censorship

(I don’t know the correct place to put a post like this)

When making sure a Roblox game complies with the ToS, do I need to take into account players using advanced knowledge to break the ToS?

Example: In a game about tuning forks, a person uses Fourier analysis on an inappropriate sound to break it down into individual frequencies and plays the respective tuning forks of those frequencies.

Uh, I don’t have much knowledge about the topic, but for something like chat censorship, yes. If there is a part of the game where a user types in a message, use text service to censor it if needed. But if a user has to go through huge leaps and bounds to bypass it, you probably won’t be held accountable.

TL;DR: Implement your own moderation system for your own game to prevent inappropriate behaviour.

Considering that your game isn’t explicitly providing a way for users to break the Roblox TOS/Community Standards, you can still develop game ideas that involve the user inputting something and it being replicated (e.g. drawing games, a game where you can insert models from the Creator Marketplace to build)

I don’t think most Players would go to the extent of what you’re describing in your example. But if you believe that there is a possibility that there can be inappropriate, unfiltered content being passed from the client to the server, you can set a moderation system in place for your game, to have your game staffs to check for inappropriate content.

Take note that if a large percentage of your playerbase engage in inappropriate behaviour and Roblox sees that you aren’t moderating your game properly, your game could be taken under review.
