Question: Are UGC items throttled or shadowbanned after a ban?

Hey everyone,

I’m a UGC creator and I had a question about something strange happening with my items lately.

A few days ago, I got temporarily banned from uploading due to several IP violations (about 9 total), mostly for using the word “Minecraft” in some of my item names and descriptions. After that, I went back, deleted or updated everything that was even slightly related, and made sure all future items are fully original and compliant.

Since the ban ended, I’ve uploaded 12 new items. They’re all safe, creative, and within the rules. To promote them, I even sponsored 2 items with 4,000 Robux each. One of the ads got over 1 million impressions and over 2,000 clicks, but literally 0 purchases. The other one got around 1 million impressions and only 600 clicks. Again, barely any or no sales.

It feels like my items aren’t being shown to people or are just completely ignored by the algorithm. They don’t show up in search unless I use direct links. Even items that normally would get organic reach from looking decent are just not moving at all. This wasn’t the case before the ban.

So I’m wondering:
Does Roblox silently limit your account or your item visibility after a UGC ban? Is there some sort of hidden cooldown or penalty? Or is this just bad luck?

Would really appreciate if anyone else who’s been in a similar situation could share their experience. Or if a staff member can confirm whether this is expected behavior or just a coincidence.

Thanks.

Well you went from having items that were minecraft items (items that are naturally trending) to those kind of items, you are going to see a difference of less sales naturally. on a side note sponsors always been useless for ugc items

Thanks, I really appreciate this.
Is there anything I can do to get more sales? Or to get more people to see my items? Do I just have to keep posting, or is there something more to it? What would you do if you were in my position right now?

Promoting items by showcasing outfits whether it be on the catalog or on catalog avatar creator tends to help a bit. If i were in your position, I would keep posting since the more items you have, the more likely it is to be seen
