Questions about a strange error

errorcapture

I had an error come up suddenly a while ago, I asked script helpers about it but after being teased about the nature of the issue I never got a true answer about what it is and what causes it. in this picture the error that concerns me is the “TextureManager::PreloadTexture”: Failed to resolve texture format | ff fb 90 04 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 49 6e 66 6f 00 00 00 0f 00 00 00 0b 00 00 13 96 00 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 2e 2e …Info……

could someone explain to me what this is? when I first saw it I noticed the ? marks inside a black diamond shape which I have only seen in malicious models from the toolbox. im “Hopefully” sure this is harmless but im still curious about it.

I can hear internal errors. The asset ID is a sound called “Deselect” by Roblox.

so its pretty much just another studio error?

You grabbed the ID from the error. That’s the easiest part…
He’s also not talking about the preload error.

Yes. The error is internal. Maybe a rare error.

Check if anything is broken in Studio.

Looks like a studio texture error. Type %localappdata% in your windows search bar or file explorer address bar and find the Roblox folder. Go to Versions and find which version is studio. Delete RobloxStudioBeta.exe and launch studio again. That should reinstall everything. If that doesn’t fix it, I’ll try to look into it when I’m at my PC.

ok, thanks for the info. nothing significant is broken so the error seems to be harmless.
