Questions about advertising my game

Edit: Small changes because I should’ve been more clear.

I have a few questions about advertisements/sponsorships. My game isn’t ready to be released yet but when it is I want to maximize the efficiency of promoting it.

  • Should I use advertisements, sponsorships, or word of mouth first?

  • Would 100-300 robux/day work? I don’t have a very large budget but I’m flexible.

  • Who would be interested in a game like the picture below? It’s very similar to classic roleplay games and hangouts. The map isn’t done yet, this is just an example. I know it looks horrible but that’s not the point.

  • There is a gamepass that gives admin commands for 620 robux (10 robux per command which is cheaper than most games). I don’t expect a lot of sales but would you personally spend that much on a game if you liked it?

I believe you should advertise to friends and tell them to advertise your games to your friends, in my experience since I formerly added people to invite them to my group I believe you should advertise to your friends, it will also be more useful to do paid advertisements so many more users can see your game.

It depends however it does give me the vibe of a story type of game, so if you’re going to make it like a story-type of game I believe the fictional-story loving users would be attracted to it otherwise if it’s just a normal diner, I believe it will be roleplayers or people who just desire to enter a relaxing game, such as me when I feel too much pressured I find a Cafe group in Roblox and check out if their cafe is relaxing, however that’s on me because I love watching my avatar relax, as it gives me relaxing vibes, however it truly depends but I’d say roleplayers or story game lovers.

That would not get you any concurrent players therefore no playerbase. Which would lead to dislikes.
The minimum every day is 5000 which would give you 0.05-1 player every minute, but personally I prefer 30K a day which makes sure that there’s new players (5-12) every minutes. Sponsorships are always better for playerbase building.

The game looks quite horrible, but I would buy admin for 20 Robux if there’s more than 5 players in the server.

Umm, I prefer making an long term advertise, like 3 weeks. Just 2 Days with 200 Robux is not that usefull. People will most likely not click when they see the advertise the First time. When they see the advertise multiple times, they will probably click on it.

And I think, that 200 Robux a day is completely fair. I made with 200 Robux/Day for 3 Weeks and I got ~5 Players at the same time. So better make a longterm advertise and not a advertise for 2 Days with 1000 Robux.

He didn’t say anything about short term. I’d do 30K/day for like 2 weeks and you will be good.
Got me around 150 players on average and after sponsors ended I kept them.

I do 600 a day for 5 weeks and get 300 players

You gotta decide. Show me your game please

No, I did mean longterm. I meant 30K everyday for 10 days. If one day things are going super well then bid extras and even start livestreams about it.

1000? Sure, but would take you years to grow and the playerbase doesn’t exist.

Whatever, 30K a day would only get me 5-12 players every minute, which means 200 would NOT give you any concurrent players. You don’t have to argue back, check the sucessful advertisers, it’s clear that the minimal is 5K a day. (Unless clothing group)

Incorrect. It’s between 2000-3000/day. And the game I did that on had ~6 minute average playtime, 2k/day should be enough.

So you are saying 5k would give 1/100 as much as 30k at times? Ok what the heck is that math. I know ad effectiveness increases exponentially but I can’t believe that.

Yes for normal games, but not for server matchmaking games. Sorry for not being precise enough.

For the 5K I lowered the CTR compared to 30K, so it might have sounded a bit exaggerated. Normally with a bad CTR (normal) 5K = 0.05-1, 30K = 0.5-10.
