towers were used before but so were floating islands, but towers (without checkpoints) can be tricky especially if you fall all the way down, if you’re going for something impossible, I’d say include both
if you’re going for that impossible vibe, I’m not sure if you’ll have enough ideas, death blocks are basic and are used to spice things up a little
it really depends, but I’d consider simulators more of “cash grab” games than obbies
saying as a chill person I am at the moment I would, but if I were to play it in reality and rage a lot, I’d probably have no problem with smashing the leave button
Towers tend to be rage games. No checkpoints, and you can fall and lose progress. Floating islands seem more like platforming, like a basic obby, or platformer. Either one works.
Not really. It can have platforms and other things and still be good. Death blocks are just the most common obstacle in obbies.
I really can’t say. I didn’t make an obby and monetize it so good, so I do not know.
It would seem like a big obby, so I would play it if it doesn’t get very repetitive.
It’s purely visual, and shouldn’t affect gameplay, but either would work out well.
A linear set of different stages with unique and challenging obstacles. The tried-and-true obby formula.
No, obstacles like pits and mazes can all punish a player without directly killing them.
No. It is difficult to monetize an obby because it has little replayability. Once you finish an obby you usually won’t return so adding cosmetic items would be very useless. Alternatively you can offer level skips but players will usually choose to tough it out instead of paying to get past an obstacle.
No, because challenge is usually sacrificed for game length.
I have never played either so I’m not sure what this question is asking.
first, island
second, yes obby must have death block
third, yes if you make perks or skip the obby just only one time
fourth, yes it will get more fun if you do that
and the last one is, yes it is good to make a background in an obby and it will make more players come because of the background you have made.
that the answer I can tell.
How would you make a obby, a tower or a floating island?
for obbies called tiered obbies, take a big part, or multiple, and build the obby around it, on it , in it. For a tower, take a starting point, and go whereever you want to go exept if, like tiered obbies, you take a main part and build around it.
Does obby need to have death blocks?
Personally, i would only use death blocks for showing paths that you don’t want the player to go. Not as an obstacle
Is it worth to make a obby if you want to earn money, I mean Robux?
Not really
Would you play a obby with many levels and obsticales?
yes
Are obbys better with background like in speed run 4 or basic like tower of hell.
i prefer basic personally
