Questions about user ads

Hello! So I am currently working on getting my first actual game out there. My plan was simply advertising, but I am not sure if that will get me anywhere to be honest, at least with the budget I have (About 14k right now).
You see… I have done some testing, in total spending around 1k on various ads, my best CTR being 0.99% and 0.88% on some “meme ads” that have nothing to do with the game, and around 0.78% on an ad actually representing the game.
First of all, I would like to use ads that actually represent my ads rather than clickbait, but it unfortunately seems like meme/clickbait ads work best.

Secondly, how do people actually gain a reasonable audience using user ads only, and what budget is needed for that?
Using that ~1k robux I got about 110 visits… which won’t get me anywhere even if I used all my robux.

One thing I didn’t think of when creating my game, is the fact that it’s a round-based game meaning you need at least 3 players to start a round, so 1 player joining and leaving before another 2 join is just useless. (If I invested more I would ofcourse get those 3+ players at once, the 1k was just for testing)

So do you have any tips or answers? Make sure to ask me if I forgot to mention some important info.

0.78% for an actually good ad is a pretty good CTR. Plus, the meme ad clicks probably don’t get as much plays since people are clicking and expecting something different than your game. I’d go with the 0.78% ad.

You need hundreds of thousands of robux to get a sustainable and lasting audience, though.

Oh really? Roblox officially says a CTR under 1% is garbage :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:, and that average is 2-3%, but old information pehaps.
And yeah, I know front page games use big amounts to advertise, however gotta start somewhere. I was hoping that some advertising would make the robux back in order to advertise more and work my way up, however I don’t see how I can make robux this way :/. My game has things to purchase, however I am not expecting people to buy the things if they can’t even start a round since there aren’t enough players…
