- What do you want to achieve?
I want to get my blender-made r15 character animations to work in studio. I am also planning on using those animations I make in blender as custom animations for player actions, e.g. walking, running, idle, etc., NOT on a custom model like a skinned mesh.
- What is the issue?
The mesh and animation looks fine in blender, but as soon as I use a default roblox r15 rig or the r15 rig that I made in blender to create the animation in the first place and use them in studio and import my animation in the animation editor the body parts are displaced/rotated in a weird way.

- What solutions have you tried so far?
In blender I have tried:
- applying all transforms before exporting
- changing various export settings, e.g. “Apply Transform” on/off for the animation.
- using the “Blender Animations” add on to export my animation another way
In studio I have tried:
- using the “Blender Animations” plugin (I can’t get it to work properly though)
That’s basically it. I don’t know why, but I just keep running into issues with the plugin even though I made sure its up to date but I just don’t like it idk. I mean, personally I don’t have a problem with doing it the “traditional” way, i.e. exporting a file from blender and importing it in the animation editor in studio, I just need help with this one.
I have also tried exporting the model I have made along the armature into studio and then import the animation to use on THAT original character that I made the animation with instead of a default r15 one by roblox in case it had to do with my animation not being properly compatible with r15 characters but even then the same thing happened.
Generally speaking, I have worked with a skinned mesh before that had nothing to do with a “normal” roblox character rig, I made a walking animation for it and even though I had some trouble setting it up at first I eventually got it to work after fixing transforms in blender and re-doing the animation. But here I really have no clue, I feel like I have tried everything that could potentially alter the rotation or positioning of bones when exporting from blender to roblox, but nothing seems to have worked and I ran out of ideas.
My last hope is for some animator who commonly works with these methods to help me troubleshoot what exactly is causing my issue.
Thanks for any help in advance!
