R6 avatar body type issue for the "Mega-Parched Eyeball Head" accessory

A few months ago I acquired this accessory by redeeming an Amazon gift card. When it was obtainable, it was advertised with it having the transparency trait on the hat accessory. It functions perfectly fine in the R15 avatar selection but when you switch to R6, its transparency trait doesn’t take affect.

I’ll provide the examples below. The first screenshot is demonstrating it functioning in R15 with the functioning transparency trait (As intended.)
The second screenshot is demonstrating it not functioning in R6 where it is expected to have the same transparency value as the R15 screenshot.

Here is the accessory link - Mega-Parched Eyeball Head - Roblox

Expected behavior

I expected the “Mega-Parched Eyeball Head” to have its transparency trait take affect to both the R6 and R15 avatar body types instead of it working on only one avatar body type, that being R15 / the accessory’s transparency trait fully functioning in the R6 avatar body type.

I think it’s important to point out that on release, the R6 version of this accessory had transparency like the R15 version did. I think it would be great if the R6 version was updated to be slightly transparent so that there is better parity in appearance between use with different avatar types.

I seen one near release, thought it would’ve been investigated but only fixed some other issue it had. I also had recently just gotten access to bug reports.

Thanks for reporting this. We made the update so that the R6 one has transparency in it as well.

Thank you for the update to this item! I noticed that the R15 and R6 versions of this item still have some noticable difference in appearance. Oddly, they appear identical in avatar previews on the website, but in experience, you can notice that despite the whites of both eyes appearing equally transparent, the iris’ of the eyes significantly differ. With R15, you can clearly see your characters face (Which is a really awesome and unique feature of this item!) but in R6, it still looks almost completely opaque.

Upon further inspection, it appears this is due to the texture of the item having transparency in the region of the iris (minus the black pupil), and for some reason the transparency in the texture renders onto MeshPart and SpecialMesh accessories quite differently.

I did a little modification to the texture of this item for the R6 version, and managed to replicate the look of the R15 version. All I did was select the blue area of the iris, and lower the opacity from 255 to 60. This seems to bring the R6 version of this item to very close parity in appearance to the R15 version.
