Random Coaster Generator

I’ve been working on a random ‘Rodel-Coaster’ generator the last week and I thought I’d share it with you guys. It’s far from being done, but I think I’ve made enough process to make it look interesting. You can use W and S while riding to go faster/slower.

I love the birds! It’s so cool.

Very cool! Saw a fence trying to climb a rock.

Really nice. For anyone not in the know, this is what it’s referencing:

At the bottom you should use humanoid:ChangeState(‘GettingUp’) to gracefully move them out of the sitting state when you remove the cart.

@stravant Thats really cool. Do you know how fast they go?

RIP all those trees killed so this metal bar could exist.

Hehe yeah, I forgot to fix that.

Actually there is a similar type of coaster which uses two rails instead of one which is also often found in Austria. I based it on that one but they’re both pretty much the same. Thanks for the tip though, I’ll probably add that.

It isn’t as bad as it looks like. I remember Austria having a rather strict ‘tree-policy’ of some sorts. People are not allowed to use unused mountains to make more pistes etc.

Suggestion: Change the camera mode to follow.

Here in Switzerland they usually have the two-railed tracks as well. I absolutely love them.
Great work on this one! I just wish they were a bit longer.

Looks cool, I love the birds ^.^

I get derailed 50% of the time :s

And some minor things at the top building.

Oh, I forgot to say that you can use W and S to go faster/slow down.

Mind if I edit the script so I can generate race courses for my off-road quad bike racing game?

What part of the script do you need? I’m of course not going to give you everything :stuck_out_tongue:

Just the part that generates the floor and the fence :stuck_out_tongue:

I will continue to manually build on the maps from there

I could throw in some R$ to the deal if needed

I’ve edited the script a bit to make it suit your game a bit better. I rather not post the code here, so I’ve added you to Skype. Could you add me there so I can give it to you?

Really cool stuff, really amazes me how good it looks, especially for randomly generated maps.

Ok, thanks. I will accept when back on computer
