Randomly generating city!

A few weeks ago I lay in bed trying to come up with ideas for my YouTube channel. It didn’t take long to realize that I loved Random generation. So I sat down and wrote down a bunch of ideas and eventually came up with the idea of a City generator. The video isn’t out yet but here is the finished result and of course any feedback is received gratefully! :grin:

I decided to start smallish with the roads. I wanted it to be a cartoony city so I decided square roads would be fine. After a few days I got something I liked. Even though it’s still riddled with bugs, I’m happy to say that the most obvious ones have been taken care of!

After that I got straight into the buildings, which by far was my favourite part.

I then modeled a trash can and bench in Blender (I’m still pretty new) and added that to the mix.

Finally I wanted to make it all look professional for the sake of you and anyone else interested. So I had a go at Ui and came up with something I’m pretty happy with!

I also modeled a car, hoping that I could have cars driving around the city, but after a while I realized it was way to ambitious and way out of my league.

As I said before I would love to hear your ideas! And I’m new to modelling so of course tips for that would be awesome too! :smiley:

The LITE version of the plugin is out!!! This currently has limited features but I plan to improve it in the future with more settings like for example the size of the city! Please let me know if you find any bugs! :smiley:

Nice! Someone had made a module like this, but it only generated buildings, no sidewalks, no roads, no benches, no trash cans. This is way better. I’d love to use it!

If you can modify the stuff this would be amazing for making either a scifi or apocalypse style city without spending hours planning out a city

also some road patterns can be very weird sometimes (for me at least)

Thanks for the feedback! Could you be a little more specific? Sorry if it sounds rude but if I’m gonna make it a plugin I need more info about what’s wrong! :grin:

Ahh, I see thank you! It should be a pretty easy fix. Basically just give the buildings a little more room I guess!

@bobling_101 make a pro version for 50 or 100 robux i will buy it and it could make some roux

I would but I’m not sure if it’s possible to sell plugins for robux anymore. I planned on doing it but after looking through all the settings I could I found nothing for changing price :frowning:
