Hello devs,
I was making a lobby for my horror game, the style is retro.
I wanted to keep it classic but I don’t know what to think about it.
What’s your opinion?
Thank you!
Hello devs,

I think it looks very cool! But do you have any TweenService animations? That could make it even better!
Thank you!
Yes I used Tweenservice animations.
can you show them if you want?
maybe I can recommend you anything
It’s… alright. It’s definitely not eye catching, but it beats a large closed off box. You mentioned your game is a horror game, right? Well, obivously, the first thing a player sees is your lobby and that generally is how they formulate their premature opinion of the game (and ultimately if they’ll continue playing it.)
If I didn’t know your game was a horror game, and I saw this lobby, my first opinion would be some sort of town roleplay. Unless it’s a horror game for babies, your lobby isn’t spooky, or scary enough. I’d theme the lobby around fall, the scariest month of the year, make it perpetually night, add some torches and campfires and model some more crooked looking trees.
Most games in the horror genre have dark lighting and an overall darker tone, making great use of shadows and lights or night time. The environment shown in the screenshots is exactly opposite of that.
That’s not bad depending on the context. Maybe the story fits the environment by making the player start off in a nice area and then it transitions into a more dark area.
I think the retro look is on the nail, or almost. Maybe it’s just hard to tell, but it looks like some top surfaces don’t have the stud texture. For some tips about the environment in general, there’s a lot of green. Some water, rocks, plants, crates, etc. could break up that color. It’s also quite flat, not much verticality, but that can make sense based on movement mechanics and other stuff.
6/10 imo
