Rate Parts Of My Game Map?

Hello On July 4th i published my revamping update that i spent almost 5 months on, and i would like to see what you guys think about how my game is built, how it is scripted, the guis, and overall how well it was made.

It looks good, to me it’s perfect, except maybe change the shadows.

Hello there, First of all thank you for using my suggestions on gas station :+1: I don’t have any more suggestions for it.

Donut Shop
I think It’d be nicer if you used 3D text for the logo .

Second Picture
I didn’t understand the third picture.

Room
Fourth picture would be nicer if you added more details such as windows and lights.

Garage
Garage looks nice, but these cars seem really similar to me.

Hospital
I liked that 3D picture in this one.I’d suggest you to add multiple floors. You can add some waiting seats for the indoor.

Bank
Bank looks really nice.

Town
It looks like you have mountains for only one side and It doesn’t make sense in my opinion.

Snow
It’d be nicer if you added more types of trees. It’d be perfect if you added snow to the other trees.

Desert
I don’t have any suggestions for this one it looks perfect this way.

Thank you for your time, Good luck on your project! :grinning:

Forgive me if I’m wrong about this, but I believe you used free models? If so, I definitely recommend you remove those.

One question, did you used free models when you built this map? You better removed those because we all want an original game and has it owns theme.
If you’re using free models, each model has it owned theme which makes the map has more themes then the original main theme you want to do to your map is unseen by other people.
Anyways, your map looks nice! Maybe adds more shape to the hospital because you can see a long hallway from outside and the hospital is too blocky.

After you’ve spent five months creating this, it pains me to state my honest opinion but somebody has to. The word “perfect” has been used far too often in this thread alone.

In terms of scripting, very good. I would improve on the aesthetic nature of the UI as it looks fairly deprecated in its current form, rather than a more modern, sleek alternative, but this is a natural improvement.

Terrain seems incoherent and misplaced; there is a desert right next to a snowy winter area. I’m going to assume this is for stylistic reasons but even so, there should be a bridge in between (in terms of a grassy biome; not a genuine bridge over water). In certain parts your paths go over hills which just looks odd.

I don’t know why these huts are emanating light, or indeed why there are huts at all in the middle of a modern city. Care to shed some light on this?

In terms of colour, the entire city seems to be extremely rainbow-like and inconsistent. The buildings are very spread out which makes the entire place mammoth in size when such a great scale isn’t truly necessary to populate the game with what you physically desire to have within it – unenterable buildings are purely backdrop and do not constitute this selective core. Scattered around the entire place are huge statues which don’t even look like statues, and have only been plonked onto the grass with nothing else whatsoever around it. This is just silly.

Overall, the place feels very mish-mash and inconsistent; some buildings are merely copied and pasted; terrain is uneven, blocky, and unrealistic; and there is no artistic flair. The UI feels overdone and outdated but this warrants a fairly realistic adjustment.

Hopefully I wasn’t too harsh.

Great job man! Being able to keep motivation to finish a project like this is a really good thing. The only thing I notice just from looking at the screenshots is that there is too much open space in your buildings.

What I mean by this is, most of your buildings are too big for having so little inside. I used to do this a lot. Either create smaller buildings [so you won’t have to have a lot of detail inside of it] or if you want to keep the same size, add a lot more detail inside of it.

Such as the ‘hospital’ I assume that is what it is. It’s very large, and has a lot of open space. It’s best if you add some more roofs, and close off that large space. It seems very unrealistic.

Another build was the restaurant. In a restaurant there is nothing realistically to add to the space to make it fit the size of the building. So I recommend making the building much smaller. There is too much open space.

Besides that, the builds look great. I can’t hop into game and look at your coding, but I hope it’s good as well.

Ok for starters my game is unrealistic its not meant to portray real life, so the beach area right next to the snow area is fine for now. yea there is many tweaks and improvements that still need to be worked on so its not perfect in its state, im constantly working on the game. I didn’t mean to be rude here, but i my game is not made for realism. Im not the greatest builder or gui maker and im just starting out.

The game looks really! good like how you took your time into finishing your project.

My Suggestions

The City Map
1.Some of the buildings have tiny gaps in the. Wall piece as seen below you should scale the road piece a bit over there seems, to be a open space showing the terrain part or you could move the building. Over so it could be connected to the road part!! also i would suggest you add doors/windows to the tall buildings and you should add, different styles to them instead of copying and pasting them…

2.Also in the buildings i would suggest. You add some chairs/tables/desk/ and different details in the buildings, to fill in the empty spaces and in the donut shop you could add some more. chairs and maybe a kitchen in the there!!

Add another chair here

Main Island

1.In the water there is another, layer at the bottom of the ocean you fix that and on the island part. you should. Add some more trees and add some branches to them to fill in the island part also different styles to them, there seems to be more stuff that can be added to it!! and the map area.

Winter Wonderland

1.In the map there, seems to be a lot things that can be added in the empty spaces i would add a snowman/pine trees/bushes/ and different details into it map so it can. Fill in those empty spaces you could add taller trees!!

Over all you, really done a great job on your project hope to see more of your work very soon keep up the good work!!

yes i did use some free models for my build, but mostly everything is built by me.
