Looks good! (Why is half of the room a black void tho)
Thanks. It’s kind of on purpose since i’m going for a very dark look to make the colors stand out
Looks great. My only concern is the snow falling inside the building. Other than that, very good job.
Looks great! Do you think the sharpness of the window light could possibly take away a little from the fire though?
This game looks great so far! Nice job on it!
Hey Selddy!
I’m sure you may be well-rounded in winter-esque landscapes - so I just want to provide a suggestion rather than say something is right/wrong. I love the concept you’re going for here.
The windows seem too blue, I would look to use a slightly more dullish grey-blue combination, maybe a lighter tone of that combinations to give the white “snow” look at the same time. On the topic of the windows as well, the brightness could come down a bit. While winter definitely can be bright with the snow reflection, more often the sun is in cloud cover, so you might look to make it slightly dimmer than the current brightness.
As for the sounds, I do appreciate the creaking of the wood flooring and the footsteps, those sound great - might decrease the sound on the creaking slightly, just to give some distance feeling (incorporating the “height” of the player.)
One sound though you might look to isolate is the wind sound. It is a great background effect, though, I might encourage that you primarily hearing the sound originating quietly near the wood stove pipe or windows, rather than throughout the whole house.
I think the fireplace lighting/sound is great, though my personal suggestion would be to turn the volume down slightly. The flicker in the lighting is a great touch.
To wrap it up, this is a great setting and concept. I am curious as to why the cabin has both a wood stove and what appears to be a fireplace? It’s hard to tell due to how dark it is (to the right of the table, left of the bunks.) If that’s a fireplace, I would remove it because generally your wood stove would serve also as the fireplace.
8/10 - Look forward to seeing future updates.
