I’m not sure if this is good or not, but using the RSS feed which the forum system provides, I’ve created a way for someone in-game to effectively ‘read’ the RBXDev forums.

The massive wall of text which is JSON which you can parse to get the desired results is here:

I’m working on a parser myself, but I can’t design user-interfaces that well so it would be cool if someone were to use this ‘API’ and create their own reader.

Um, the bad part with this is, that your leaking the “locked” forums.

I know, I’m still trying to figure out how to restrict it to certain subforums (when done, it’ll limit to Updates)

The Updates forum is the one that’s not supposed to be shared, I would think. They tell us about new features here before they publicly announce it. I don’t think you giving them access to Updates is in Roblox’s best interest.

General discussion would also have to be locked to normal users because sometimes we post exploit repro steps there, and we don’t want those to go public either.

So it’s cool and all, well done :), but I really don’t like the idea of opening the forums to the public, even if they can only read.

I think I fixed the RSS exposure problem. Which sucks for RBXdev members who were using the RSS themselves.

Awww. Well, that sucks - I was using the RSS feed so I didn’t have to keep logging in on my phone. Oh well…

Damn… :\ I used IFTTT to send me a text when a new thread is Updates was posted. :
Think it’s possible to set up a email subscribe thing?

Isn’t there a way to show RSS depending on the cookies? (With other words, if you’re logged in)

I don’t see a way to do that in the settings. If you’re logged in, why not just read it like a forum?

Let’s just put it this way. It was either going to be exposure to the public, or a bit more difficult to use on phones.

You could perhaps use the RBXDev Group?
