Riverwood Correctional Facility

Training Guidelines

1. How to host a training?

You have to be Captain+ to host a training, Lieutenant+ to co-host a training.

First, go into our communication server.
Second, get permission from HR+ in #request-training.
Last, you can now host training.

2. Preparing a training

Congratulations, you can now host training! All you have to do is to select a co-host.
As I said before, the co-host has to be a Lieutenant+.
Use your admin to set a message like:

:setmessage General Training / Cadet+ / Get uniform and gears and STS in the lobby. / PTS is active.

^ This is just an example message, you may change the thing except for the important things.

3. Starting a training

Good, you prepared your training and you’re ready to go. Slock the server and start the training following below.

Introduction
(Do not use :m command, use :n if you think trainees can’t hear you.)

Welcome to General Training! My name is [name], your host! With co-host [name]!

PTS is active, so if you are going to say something, say “PTS”.

I’ll now go over with rules, please be quiet when I’m saying rules.

[RULE 1] Do not speak without PTS.

[RULE 2] Always follow the instructor’s order.

[RULE 3] Use proper grammar and be professional.

[RULE 4] Follow in-game rules.

[RULE 5] Do not argue with instructors, this will result in a consequence.

Alright, so let’s warm up with faces!

Faces

Left face: Face left to 90 degrees.
Right face: Face right to 90 degrees.
About face: Turn around to 180 degrees.
Center face: Face center.
Control face: Face to the instructor. (Do not stop facing until “Center face”.)

(Ask if all of the trainees know faces if not, explain how to do faces.)

If you fail to follow my instructions, you will be shot.

If you get shot, go SFL behind the shooting range door.

Do you have any questions?

Good, let’s begin!

(Do faces not too hard, not too easy.)

Shooting Range

Well done.

Now please go SFL behind the shooting range door.

(March them into the shooting range.)

Welcome to the Shooting Range!

Most trainees fail this part, so listen carefully.

First, we use some terms at the shooting range,

Draw: Take your weapon out.
Holster: Put your weapon away.
Aim: Aim your weapon.
Fire: Fire A MAG.
Reload: Reload your weapon.
Cease: Stop fire.

Is that clear?

Good, now we have some additional rules for the shooting range.

That is NEVER. SHOOT. WHEN. SOMEONE. IS. IN. THE. RANGE.

If you fail to follow this SIMPLE rule, you will be respawned.

If you get respawned, don’t get triggered and just STS on the line.

Do you understand?

Now, select a booth.

(Test if trainees don’t shoot when someone is in range)

(Respawn trainees that fired when someone is in range)

(Once shooting is done, march trainees to defensive tactics room.)

(When you are done with this, march trainees into the classroom.)

Classroom

Welcome to the classroom!

In this part, you will be taught the basic things of being a correctional officer.

The first is Radio!

The radio will be given to you to communicate well between officers.

Do not talk on the radio, either spamming or saying non-related to communication.

You will be using some radio codes to communicate easier and faster.

These are some basic codes.

10-8 means you are on duty and ready to patrol.

And 10-7 means you are off duty.

And 10-20 means location.

Either used when asking or stating.

And the final one, 10-32 means assistance/back up.

Now, I’ll be asking you these codes.

Since these are the basic codes, I hope you all will pass this.

(Ask questions using admin)

:pm %trainees [question]

Good job.

Let’s move onto the second part, weapons.

You will be given a glock, taser, and baton as weaponry.

Glock is to use when you believe that there’s an immediate life danger towards anyone.

Since your duty is to make a “safe” environment, you are not going to just kill inmates.

Taser is used when you believe that there’s an immediate or possible life danger towards anyone.

Baton is used when you are dispersing a crowd or warning an inmate like standing near the wall.

I suggest you not to use baton if an inmate is holding a knife. Use taser instead.

When an inmate is holding a knife, don’t just go tase them.

At least ask the inmate to drop the knife, and if they don’t listen or try to harm you, use a taser then.

We will see how you guys react with an aggressive inmate in Defensive Tactics.

Alright, that’s the basic thing you need to know.

Please check the handbook if you want to know the detailed thing.

(March trainees into Defensive Tactics)

Defensive Tactics

Welcome to the Defensive Tactics!

In this part, you will be dealing with an aggressive inmate!

As you guys were taught how to use your weapons, I hope you guys don’t fail this part.

If you die without cuffing the inmate, you fail.

If you don’t react properly, you fail.

If you pass, please stand on the green line.

But if you failed, please stand on the red line.

Now, split into two lines.

(Do defensive tactics.)

(March trainees into the lobby)

Promotion

All of you did well done, but sadly, I can promote only up to 5 people.

Promoted trainees will be ff’ed.

(:ff the trainees who got a promotion.)

Congratulations on who got the promotion!

Don’t be sad if you failed in this training, you have a lot of chances of promotion!

(Place them into the prison)

:place %trainees 4648146470

3. Logging the training

Well done, you finished your training! Now all you have to do is to log the training!
Go to #training-logs and log the training following the format!
