I wish I could live there. But I am from Europe so it’s too far from San Francisco, and It might be expensive to travel through there.

What do you discuss at the RDC?
I am guessing that you talk about the platforms future, but I honestly don’t know.
Unfortunately it seems very unlikely I will be invited this year, so I would appreciate it if someone who’s went in the past could explain what happened when they attended. Thanks in advance

Will the event be in October from now on? It’s very helpful to us international developers that it isn’t in the middle of the summer months as flights are either booked full or crazy expensive around July and August. It’d be great if it could stay this way imo.

Got invited today and I’m looking forward to meet all the amazing devs on this platform! I will be attending virtually due to COVID restrictions. If I get invited next year I will be joining IRL definitely!

Already bought an in-person ticket. Was wondering if COVID cases continue to rise rapidly, would it be possible to exchange that ticket for a virtual ticket? (before the refund deadline, of course)

I have my doubts - it seems like this was a later decision to push back in order to accommodate for a potential in-person event after the pandemic subsided at the time. Wouldn’t make sense to permanently reschedule RDC to be held within the school year

do you guys invite clothing designers? i don’t think i’ve ever seen clothing designers in rdc, we’re always left out :’-)

I have heard that only popular developers are invited to this developer conference .
I don’t consider myself popular but I have worked on pretty well known games such as cooking in the rain , horse academy and am currently in talks with the creator of speedrun 4 , Vurse .
So if I could get an invite , I would be grateful

how many people go to rdc this year?
That’s true, I’ve just heard from fellow European devs that getting flight tickets during the regular RDC dates is hard if not impossible as it’s one of the busiest months of the year.
