Woah, look out everybody, Mr. Instigation over here said “get a grip”! Haha, not liking rthro is a perfectly valid criticism, and practically nobody uses it!
this perfectly describes what you’re saying right now
That’s unneeded because it’s literally in the name. It’s called “rthro”.
all these tools and front page will still be slop
Because the average user on Roblox prefers to play simple, bright, colourful games and therefore spend the most money on them
I’m very curious about the upcoming streaming technologies. While in the demo’s they look great, i have to ask about performance taxes on the server and general visual fidelity. So far the current streaming tech (both the stuff thats already running and the streaming enabled option) has been quite lack luster in both real performance gains and especially visual fidelity. Even on my high end machine i sometimes end up seeing low quality assets (primarily textures) showing up for me. Streaming enabled on the other hand always ends up turning models into insanely ugly blobs. I believe Slim will probably be the solution to that but i still have to ask how well would it work. Can we get performance numbers and the client hardware utilized in those demos? Are the any server penalties for using Slim instead of standard Model lods?
Dear Roblox, I do not enjoy this use of such realistic characters and avatars on my beloved game platform. These character bundles are simply too detailed for such a media! Most experiences on this platform use a well-known style of building and design, with blocks and meshes. We are actively throwing away our history and community with this! What a scuffle! I also do not see many Robloxians roaming around the Experiences of this platform wearing such nonsense. Overall I do not support the addition of this R-Throw to the platform. I do hope you understand and will take my distraught as a message. Yours truly, Scroll Frame Rotation
They don’t care either way, don’t pretend they would actually listen
I didn’t know giving a more in depth explanation to why you dislike something is being “the better person” lol are you sure you’re not the one here who needs a grip?
What the hell does this even mean? No offence but have you been under a rock
Hey I couldn’t help but notice you didn’t really elaborate on this. This really upsets me and comes off as “look at me guys, i have no actual complaints so i just default to rthro bad slop” Come on dude, give some actual criticism.
we get it bro, you dont like un-constructive criticism. crawl back under your rock for now until the next roblox announcement
Yes, I think that’s pretty clear, and it’s still a solid amount IMO.
I could never assume you meant that after reading your first comment, it seems to me that what you originally said is too different.
whatever. you clearly misunderstood my point. have a good day
It’s not as easy as that though… You can’t just disable certain packages on Roblox. My issue with Rthro is that it looks uncanny in games that are not supposed to be realistic
I am siding up with you this time, Toby.
Okay, but this doesn’t really make sense about them being “rude” when you instigated the whole thing by calling somebody annoying which is rude for just a pretty standard and agreed upon opinion. Isn’t that just reaping what you sow?
Also this is just my opinion, but I will take Robloxian avatars with realistic clothing/environments than humanoid ones. It just really does not look good in my opinion and comes off as uncanny.
I don’t see any problem with the introduction of this. As you have said there are a ton of experience examples that just don’t work stylistically with classic Roblox packages or even some more modern R15 packages. That being said people are immediately panicking when seeing this because of how Roblox has historically behaved regarding the introduction of R15, Rthro, dynamic heads, etc. Roblox basically shoehorned these new features at every opportunity even when that was specifically what a majority of players and developers did not want. Specifically regarding the deprecation of R6 and the taking offsale of many classic faces it felt like Roblox was restricting how players and developers can express themselves and their own style while trying to enforce realism.
