Real-Estate Royale Gameplay Guide

:game_die: Welcome to Real-Estate Royale, the ultimate game of property investment and financial strategy. Manage properties, build houses and hotels, make strategic trades, and navigate unexpected events to outsmart your opponents and dominate the board. Roll the dice and build your monopoly!

This gameplay guide outlines the official rules of Real-Estate Royale.


:gear: PRE-GAME SETUP

CREATING / JOINING A LOBBY

Upon joining the game, players will be given the choice between joining an existing lobby or creating their own.

If a player chooses to create their own lobby, they can customize the match settings, including:

:ballot_box_with_check:PLAYER LIMIT (2 - 6) - The amount of players who can join the lobby.
:ballot_box_with_check:STARTING CASH - The amount of cash each player starts with at the beginning of the match.
:ballot_box_with_check:PUBLIC PARKING CASH - Enables cash-back when players land on the public parking space.
:ballot_box_with_check:TRADING - Allows players to trade with each other; enabled by default.
:ballot_box_with_check:AUCTIONS - Allows auctions to be triggered; enabled by default.
:ballot_box_with_check:PUBLIC / PRIVACY - Locks/unlocks the lobby for others to join.
:ballot_box_with_check:THEME - Changes the theme of the board/map.

Once the game settings have been confirmed, other players can join the lobby. After at least 2 or more players are in the lobby, the host can start the match.


:open_book: GAMEPLAY GUIDE

PHASE 1: MATCH START

At the beginning of a match, players will select their tokens and take turns rolling to determine who will go first.

PHASE 2: GAMEPLAY

After the turn order and player tokens are set, the fun begins! Each player will roll the dice, moving their token in accordance with the amount they rolled.

Each space presents players with different options for what they can do. These are elaborated on in the BOARD SECTION of this guide.

After rolling, players can manage their properties and initiate trades with others before their turn ends.

PHASE 3: CONCLUSION

Once every other player has filed for bankruptcy, the last player standing is crowned the winner of the match!


:open_book: BOARD GUIDE

COLORED SPACES
:black_small_square: If unowned, the space may be purchased. If the space is not purchased, and auctions are enabled, the space will be put up for auction.
:black_small_square: If owned, and another player lands on it, rent is due to the owner; the amount can be found on the space’s card. If owner lands on space, no action.
:black_small_square: If a player owns a full color set, houses may be built on it, increasing the rent for each house constructed. After 4 houses are built on each space, the player can build hotels on the property, max 1 per space.

STATION SPACES
:black_small_square: Acts the same as COLORED SPACES, however houses/hotels cannot be built on stations.
:black_small_square: Rent is increased with each station owned.

UTILITY SPACES
:black_small_square: Acts the same as STATION SPACES, however instead of rent increasing with each station owned, rent is 4x the amount rolled by the player who lands on it. If both are owned, rent is 10x that amount.

CHANCE & CHEST SPACES
:black_small_square: Upon landing on a chance or chest space, players will be prompted to pick up a card from the respective pile. Each card will trigger an event to occur, such as cash gain, cash loss, or space movement.

GO
:black_small_square: GO is the starting space for the match. Every time a player passes go, they receive $200.

GO TO JAIL
:black_small_square: If a player lands on this space, they are sent to jail, and will not collect $200 for passing GO.

JAIL / JUST VISITING
:black_small_square: The jail portion of this space is where players can be sent to if they land on GO TO JAIL, pull a Chance/Chest card telling them to go to jail, or roll doubles 3 times in a row.
:black_small_square: The just visiting portion of this space does nothing, it is simply a passing space.

PUBLIC PARKING
:black_small_square: This space does nothing, acting as another passing space.
:black_small_square: If the host enabled “Public Parking Cash” in the match settings, all cash paid to the board will be collected here, and paid to whichever player lands on it. When a player collects the public parking cash, the amount reserved is reset.

TAX SPACES
:black_small_square: Tax spaces are spaces which require the player to pay cash to the board, such as “Generous Donation” or “Salary Tax.”
