Realistic Artificial Sunrays

Hey everybody! Right now I’m trying to make a realistic car garage for a car meet map. I’ve made sun glare with neon and the light using surface light. Currently, this is what I have.

Now, I want to get artifical sunrays, like glooming down. I’ve tried using parts but that just looks so bad when upclose and doesn’t have movement. any other better method?

That looks so nice, the detail, the texture, lighting and how creative you are with it. 10/10
I’m not specialized in those type of stuff but you can take inspiration from other developer forum topics or some YouTube videos perhaps. You doing great imo

I’ve seen this done with beams and particles so that it looks like dust motes floating in beams of sunlight. If done well it makes for a really good effect.

One of my favorite ‘realism’ tutorial yt’ers is FickanGamer and he has a lamp tutorial that that shows how to make volumetric light using a beam.

If it doesn’t go to the right time stamp, the part you want will be at 6:46. It will show the basics of how a beam of light can be set up.

If you want a premade light that has a beam and a particle effect in it to experiment with I can recommend House Furniture Pack Duvall Drive by Roblox . There are a lot of lamps/lights in there but the one I’ve seen that uses the ‘dust mote’ particle effect the best is Attic_Light_A.

I realized the windows are a big large but it’s primarily just an example.

That is beautiful! The light, shadow and particles give it such a dreamy look.
