I appreciate your feedback, and I may raise the brightness a little.
Heavily compressed JPEG images combined with dark environments usually make it hard to make out fine details. From what’s visible though it looks extremely high quality.
I greatly value your feedback. Thank you.
It looks really nice and very realistic! I know that’s it’s supposed to be night but on some devices the lighting can be extremely dark or even pitch black. You might want to test out a bunch of graphics settings and also if you’re going to add a light source, test if it actually lights up correctly. In some games the lighting doesn’t update with a lantern and it makes everything pitch black.
Thank you for your feedback. I will probably tweak the brightness a little bit.
Aside from tweaking brightness, you could try and come up with creative ideas to keep the place illuminated whilst retaining the realistic / dark feel.
Think about devices that allow you to see in the night (e.g nightvision), dim lanterns, perhaps some (blood) moonlight, some props that could emit lights (e.g broken lanterns from people running away).
Not only does adding these things improve the visuals it can also tell a tale.
Can also try to mix it with some map design and keep some areas completely dark for the extra thrill.
Good luck looks great to me so far.
Hmmm, for now Realistic like this is almost basic in Roblox
But not if you add more details like small plants, water or something like firefly and random human made object like a shaped stone
but I LIKE this is soo cool, keep it good
BTW did you use 2022 Terrain Texture?
and did you use 0 for the Move?
or 1
or 0.5
or 0.25
or 0.125?
Thank you for the suggestion; I will definitely add more light-emitting props to the map.
I am working on adding additional detail on significant spots in the forest, but I can’t cover it all because it is a very large map. I have no idea what texture I used, and I have no idea what you meant by “move.”
This is on Material Service, New 2022 texture is better and ugly at the same time : D
and this is on Model, I mean if you use 0 studs usually it could make low device users lag because the shadow
Looks good, is it laggy?
Maybe not for pc, but mobile
I have 2022 textures disabled, but I’m not sure which texture I like more.
Most of Mobile does not Support Shadows From Point Light and the gang💡
and mobile today usually have 8GB ram so what I mean is
64 Bit CPU with low spec could have some lag in the game (If the Move is using 0 and the shadows are on)
I think 2022 is better for Bright maps and Luxury
Aside from doing some sort of global illumination to bring out the extra texture details in the dark, this looks amazing! The flashlight halo is the icing on the cake, really looks immersive.
Looks pretty good, apart from my lack of vision, that’s what it’s meant for right? Nice work man
nicely done. are you open to share game details? story lines? it’s okay if you don’t, i’m just curious.
add some atmosphere it will make it look 100x better
Looks nice. Way too dark though make it a little lighter.
Also add a custom moon. So maybe a blood moon.
