To prepare for the release of custom materials. i wanted to start creating my own little collection of materials to use right when the release happens.
This material is magma themed. without keeping this long. here is a preview !

The making of the material
i found a good rocky displacement map that i wanted to use. so i transformed that displacement map into a mesh. did some of my own sculpting to the material. then baked it on a plane to generate the new displacement and generate a normal map.
After that i did some regular texturing to the material. and took the time to make the lava accurate. using an emissive map.
