I’ve recently been working on a small side project. It is another tower defense game yeah I will clearly stick to that genre for really long, it seems like the best one to work in right now.
Anyways, to the point, I wonder if just making tower battles with realistic range is enough for a tower defense game nowadays. Most tower defense game developers don’t even add any other mechanics after basing off their TD game off tower battles, so this probably could work.
I wouldn’t say they completely base mechanics purely from tower battles. It’s subjective because there may be tower defence games you may have never played to the full extent of or witnessed.
