What Are Realms?
A realm is a space where a material world resides. Realms are all in one space called the Aether. The Aether. Realms are rather hard to travel between because of a great ocean known as Inanis’ Sea. Inanis’ Sea has no bottom and is forever deep. Luckily there are bridges that connect the realms to the Middle Realm; a realm that sits in the middle of the Aether. It is said that the gods live there and that they spend most of their time inside of it. The bridges that connect the realms are not entirely safe though. There are many trials for those who wish to cross into other realms. The bridges are also sometimes attacked by creatures known as Primordium. Even before getting on to the bridge however, there is still the trail of leaving the realm that one is in. There are many magical items that help with this, but even with them it is very difficult. All together the journey from one realm to another is a harsh one.
The world of Knights of the Sun takes place in one such realm called Trinius. Some realms are vast lands full of oceans, forests, and mountains such as Trinius; however, others are filled with lava and demons. The realms are all unique and they vary much. No one realm is the same.
There are millions of millions of realms all across the Aether and they all circle the Middle Realm. When a new realm is created it is able to fit into the ring. This is one of the marvels of the Aether.
New Realms, Destroyed Realms, and Primordium
A realm is created when the Aether uses it’s power to clump huge amounts of Suraa together. (For those who do not know, Suraa is the life force that drives everything.) This causes matter to form; which is then made into a realm. When the realm is created all of the Suraa is unformed, meaning that the realm has no life to it and there is not much in the realm. Creatures called Primordium come into the realm and feast upon the untamed Suraa. This is until Nyrissian comes into the realm and shapes it into something better. He fights off the Primordium sends them far out from the Aether.
Destroyed realms are realms that have been ridden of all of the Suraa contained inside of them. Realms can be destroyed for multiple reasons. One reason is because of those inside of the realm do something catastrophic that causes all of the Suraa to be destroyed. Gods do sometimes tamper with these things, and it is possible for them to cause its destruction. The next reason for a realm to be destroyed is because of a force outside of the realm itself. Like if the Aether chose to use its power to destroy a realm. Finally, the last reason for a realm to become destroyed is because of an event called a Furtius De-Enchantment. This is when all of the gods come together and sink a realm down into Inanis’ Sea. There is not a 100% certainty that the realm will be destroyed immediately but it is almost never going to be seen again and will most likely be forgotten, and after a while the realm will run out of Suraa and then will become destroyed.
