Description
After using the “Recently Created” sorting feature on catalog, items that were recently created by Roblox do not appear in their correct order. As can be seen in the below image, the newest item does not appear first. Although this one appeared as the third item, there have been previous instances where new items will appear much farther down to the point of having to load additional items.
Replication
- Navigate to catalog
- Type Roblox under Creator
- Select Recently Created under Sorts
- Select Show under Unavailable Items

Hi developer, there is no direct connection between the new icon and when the asset is created. I understand this may sound counter-intuitive. The new icon is related to when the item’s product is configured for sale on the marketplace and that can be very much later than when the asset is uploaded or created. My guess is the “new” asset you are referring to was created long time ago but it only got configured for sale on the marketplace recently, which is why it was showing up further down the results but it has a “new” icon.
