Recently made a recreation of the Columbus Police Department

Good afternoon! :upside_down_face:

I was recently working for someone that wanted a police department and thus I went to work.

Just like my recreation of my burger king build from last year, it’s a recreation of a real police department located in Columbus, Nebraska. What helped the development of the build was using reference pictures of the police department along side with Google Earth.

The build may look plain but the person that I working for didn’t want furniture inside because they wanted to add their own furniture. Also even though there are rooms inside of the police department, there is no use showing these rooms because of the lack of furniture.

The build took several weeks to finish and I’m proud to show this police department to you all!

Here’s the build:

Nice!
One suggestion is that before you get too far into building in detail, build a rough version and walk around in it in test mode to get the feel for the space.
I noticed that the brick columns and signs at the front doors seem to be ‘oversized’ for their designed purpose. In the reference image the signs appear to be the same height as the railings for the stairs which would be about 2 to 2 1/2 studs high compared to a Robloxian. In your picture they look to be about 5 studs high so instead of waist level signs they turn into walls.

If you build a rough version you can see how you interact with the space before you spend hours on it and realize you have to make an entire area larger or smaller to fit with the scale of the project.
